Happy Halloween

Here's hoping everyone has a safe and fun All Hallow's Eve.

Head study

Unfinished little study.  This reminds me of some of my favorite artist's sketches but not as good.

Starting to get the whole picture

A bit better than the previous sketch, yet not good enough to call a drawing.

Disconnected pieces

To me this looks like a jigsaw puzzle with huge gaps where missing pieces go.  Like I said Friday, trying to draw well while under the influence of cold medicine doesn't seem to work for me.

Gestures from last night

Wow, I shouldn't draw when I'm on cold medication.  Some stuff came out alright, it all just seemed ham handed.

Cold shoulder?

I should take a better picture of this one.  This came out pretty nicely, I think.  I'll post a better shot when I get a chance.

A tie for my favorite sketch of the night.  Tomorrow I'll post the other one.

Sway

I feel that this is incomplete since there is no indication of the spine.  The reason for this is that Paige has a fabulous Celtic tattoo that covers her spine and is very intricate in its design.  I had no time to give it a real shot at looking good so I just omitted it.  Would love another chance to finish this off.

Got a few good ones out of this session

The first of the "good" ones.  I was pretty happy with a few of these.  I started paying attention to the interesting aspects of her face (although I didn't get too far in this sketch).

Turn the Paige

We had a debut last night.  Our model, Paige, did a great job for us.  We thank her and look forward to more sessions.

Three in about eight

The first pose was to be 10 minutes long and broke about halfway through while the second was a hip shift which made about two minutes and the third about a minute before the model succumbed to dehydration.  She is doing fine now.
