Started having fun with this one
So many interesting shapes and mass relations, I could have just worked on the right arm and hand for the duration.

bits and pieces
Starts and stops in this one. Nothing really finished or even smartly begun. However, it can be finished.

First pose
I got a bit involved in this one and hoped it would go for a bit longer. Need to get her face into this one and more work on the right hand. I don't mind leaving a lot of it unfinished.

Quick gestures
I like a couple of these and had fun with the fluid, free flowing lines. When I get comfortable with a model things seem to run better. I look forward to finishing some of the drawings from last night.

Profile
Well, profile-ish. Not sure how accurate this is as her head kept turning. Very difficult to keep one's head completely still for ten minutes while trying to keep your body perfectly still as well. Still, I like this one.

Smaller ain't always better
I have been asked to do some of my life drawings smaller for a couple of reasons, none of which have anything to do with the art. This is about 2/3 the size of a regular sketch of mine and I feel that it really doesn't have the nice creative sense about it. I'll continue to try and bring my style into a smaller piece but, as this drawing shows, it isn't in my comfort zone just yet. At least not when drawing from life.

Shadows and light
I had a kinda useless piece of paper so I just smeared it all up and used the eraser for highlights. I always enjoy these little exercises and look forward to finishing this one up. I'll post it when I get to it.

So much to like
The great shapes and mass relations in this simple pose make this one I really enjoyed and look forward to finishing. How much of a finish to put on this sketch will be the tricky part.

A bit dramatic, doncha think?
An interesting pose with both relaxed areas and areas reacting to tension. This was fun to draw and would have been fun to finish. Alas...

The dancer again
A little crossed communications last night as a couple of us were going to have a session at my studio. Hope to get that done over the weekend, maybe.

And yet another to finish
I should have time since the school where we hold our weekly sessions is closed tonight due to the cold weather (they are low on natural gas). This could turn into something nice.

Another one to finish
I hope to get back into this one. Very happy with the "bones" of this drawing and want to finish it off.

Another before & after
Paige asked that I finish this one and I agreed, it is a very nice pose. I'm still struggling with whether to go for a truly realistic rendering or to leave the "drawing" aspect in place.

Quick fiver
I started to stylize this little head study. So easy to do with Paige's features. A great temptation to idealize her face rather than capture her likeness. I will be going back in on this and a few other drawings from the session.
