Just a start

Getting a start on the night.  Quite often I get caught behind the clock and I realize I'm being too precious with the drawing.

My pick for fave of the night

Shorter pose but one done with some confidence.

Drapery and a partial figure

I really enjoyed drawing this one and am happy with how it turned out but it still wasn't my favorite image of the night.  Yep, Lady L did a pretty great job for us.

Lady L takes a seat

Basically this is just a leg study.  Granted it was a very long pose to get only this much of a drawing but it happens sometimes.

Head study

Sometimes it is hard to get a good head study done as the model moves a bit too much.   Lady L held firm and I got a pretty decent rendering out of it.

Gestures of Lady L

We had a small group and my model had a scheduling conflict but Lady L stepped in a saved the day for us.  She did a really nice job for us and we are all grateful for her willingness to model at the last minute.  Here are the gestures from last night.

Long pose

She looks comfortable in that pose.  I like a lot about this one but the folded legs mess with my sense of proportion.  I measured all aspects of this several times so, theoretically, this is correct.  It just looks a bit wrong.

Body parts

Just a fun study of limbs and torso.  Not even sure I was trying to pull it all together as I was just having fun finding different masses to render.

A bit of tension

We tried the rope again this week and I find that I really like this prop.  Gives some nice musculature with the back and arms.  Would like to be able to really delve into this pose as well as last week's tension/rope pose.

Thank you so much, Molly, for stepping in at the last moment.  You really knocked it out of the park with your poses.

Loved this pose

One of our group brought a rope to help us "pull" off this pose.  Love the tension and Lady B did an excellent job of holding this one.  Fun.

Longest pose

Last sketch of the night.  Much more time to work on it than the others.  Not my favorite, though.

A small group last night but we had a bit of fun with some of the poses.  These are the gestures from the evening.

Regal posture

Lady J has a lot of interesting aspects that are fun to draw.  Her waif like torso, long neck and very expressive hands just make her a source of endless intriguing artistic possibilities.

All stretched out

I love the rib structure that Lady J puts on display.  So much fun to draw.

Go Team!

Okay, so it looks to me like she is raising a pom pom.  Anyhow, just a simple back study.
