I've said it before and I'll say it again, I had a lot of fun drawing Madame E.  The light just played so beautifully over her figure that one could get lost in the abstract forms the light and shadows create.

A little charcoal I did the other night for display during our home tour coming up.  Fun to do.

A bit o' back

Madame E's muscle tone really catches the light and casts some very beautiful shadows.

I think I elongated her figure as the model is shorter.  Still, she is great to draw and I'm happy with most of the sketches I get from her.

A fun study in lost edges.

Classic

This pose must be in innumerable paintings and drawings over the history of man.  Classic recline for the female form.  And why not, it's beautiful and fun to draw.  So much movement in a static form.

Languid

Would love to have more time with most of these poses, just not part of the routine.

Simple

This pose was one of my favorites but it was too short to really get into.  The large, simple shapes and the strong perspective really caught my attention.  I've drawn this many times and it always appeals to me as an artist.  It's like looking at a landscape with the vista retreating .  Fun.
