My first sketch of Miss M

  I got off to what I thought was a decent start to the session.  The next couple (which I've already posted) went downhill.  I think by the end I pulled outta it.

Heavy handed

Better than yesterday but still not a really good drawing.  The basics are there but that's 'bout it.

Back to it

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday.  I know I did.  Now it's back to the grind. 

I have to say, I had a rough go with the new model.  Not her fault at all, just real hit and miss.  I got a couple of decent ones but this isn't one of them.

Start and re-start

Thought I'd show a bad first try and a "better" second try.  Neither one is any great shakes but I thought it was a little bit interesting to compare them.

Torso profile

I just got lost in that bit of ribs and muscle.  A blast to draw and a good place to stop.

Another nice start

Just needed more time with this one.  Solid beginning so I'm fairly happy with it.

Gettin' started

This coulda been fun but the time constraint made me pick and choose what to focus on.

Was really only getting started on this long pose.  So much left to do.

Seated

I like the technique, just soft and heavy handed.

That braid

Lady B loves that braid and I must confess, it's fun to draw.  Usually I don't have enough time to really get it rendered well.  Always reminds me of Wyeth's "Helga" series.

A bit stylized

Got into a bit of a carefree mood when working out her hair and face.  Just a bit of fun.

I think this may have had a decent start but not real happy with where I took this.

I've been cranking out Santa art for weeks now.  It's finally coming to an end.
