Favorite pose of the night

Not my favorite drawing, though.  I made the mistake of leaving the studio without my charcoal pencils and rest of my materials.  It was a challenge to make the few found charcoal stubs work.  I chose to give it a try and, eventually, got it to work somewhat.  I would love to have used a nice pencil for this pose but that wasn't in the cards.

Gestures of a new model

A big welcome to Sarah, our newest model.  She really did a great job for having never modeled before.  Thanks to Lady J for sending her our way.

A reach

Shoulda gotten to the hands... at least the right hand.

Fingers

You wouldn't recognize this face because it kept slipping down the hands and changing position.  However, that doesn't take away from my liking it fairly well.  It has a certain static energy to it.

Profile

D just stretched out on a pile of pillows and took a snooze (not really).  I like the large shapes with broad strokes of charcoal.  Unfortunate that I didn't get to the foot, though.

Simple line drawing to get into the flow of things.

Gestures

D returned and gave us some pretty dynamic gesture poses.  A small group of artists but since it was still in the mid to high 90s when we started I guess a few just thought it was preferable to stay indoors with the AC.
