Courage on IG

This is today's post on Instagram.  Courage was a great model.

Ah, Courage.  A favorite model of mine.  Would love to draw her again.

Highlight

An okay drawing.  The only interesting part is the strong lighting used on Courage.  I look forward to more sessions with this style lighting.

The long pose and probably the best sketch of the evening.

Courage seems in a pensive mood.  Gotta finish the hair and put a bit more polish on her features.

A more fully realized sketch, yet the stuff left undone is not very interesting.  Should have made better choices with this one.

About the most linear drawing I've done.  Hmmm, not sure if I'm happy with this one or not.

Welcome back, Courage

The gestures of Miss Courage.  It was a lot of fun to have her back in the studio again.  Looking forward to drawing her some more this summer.

On early Courage sketch

Haven't looked at this in some time.  Has a classical feel to it.  May come back to this one.

Head study

I love conté but this is not true conté crayon and I found it a bit harder to control.  The big dark area in the lower right of the drawing is where I tried to get the crayon under my command.  Not sure how well it worked.

Seated repose

I think I should start simplifying some of the figure.  Unfortunately I am fascinated with the detail of the body. All of the shapes and how they interconnect.
