 I like where this was going.  Would love to have had another 20 - 30 minutes to really explore the possibilities of this one.

Layin' down on the job

 My favorite sketch of the evening.  Not thrilled with the tangency with the left knee and right shin, but it's a sketch so...

 This was all about the shadows.  Fun if ultimately unsuccessful.

Roughed in

 I wanted to break away from the line work and do some big strokes and define shapes with light and shadow a bit more.

 Short first pose of the night.  Simple shapes and treatment.

Took a different approach with the gestures, opting to try and get the job done without modeling and just linear rendering.

 I love how the shadow cast from Sara's arm informs the shape of her midsection.

 I seem to be a bit fascinated with rendering a select area rather than drafting the entire figure.  So sue me.

I liked working on the previous drawing more but this one probably turned out the best.  Granted, I had more time to work this sketch to various degrees of finish.

Lost edges and shadows, oh my

 Dang near abstract.  I thought I'd be seduced by the back muscles but when I saw (or didn't see) how the arm moved in and out of the shadows I just got lost in the lost edges of the figure and the hard edges of the shadows.  I could have worked on this for hours, just moving in and out of the various shapes and seeing how they relate to each other.  So much fun.

 Enjoyed getting loosened up with this one.  Had fun with what I didn't put down on paper as much as with what I did.
