Lady J profile

I took some liberties with this but felt pretty inspired by her profile.  Lady J has always conjured up "Madame X" for me, the great John Singer Sargent painting.  It's the nose.

An idea I'm trying to work through for a Luke Skywalker drawing.

Again, tentative

So afraid to make major mistakes that I just didn't jump into the art fray.  I need to stop being so delicate in my mark making and get back to some interesting drawing.  A waste of a great model.

Been awhile

Argh,  getting back to it is a bit painful.  So tentative.

Finally... drawing again

Only one set of gestures.  It was good to draw from the model again.  Not saying I did anything good but I was having fun all the same.

Hard to believe that it's been three years since Miss P last worked with us.  Was always happy with this little head study.

Way back when

SkinnyPuppy (her choice of name, not mine) was a great model for us long ago.  Her unique figure presented great challenges and when I was able to get something I liked it felt like an accomplishment.  Hope she's doing well with her real life.

Like the weight in her chest on this one and the way her face collapses as if she truly is asleep.
