Finally, getting into the groove

 Perspective drawings are my favorite.  This was coming along well enough.  Needed more time, though.

My favorite

 Seems I like the perspective poses best.  Love the challenge and it adds a bit of action to the piece.  And those shadows, what's not to like about this pose?

45 minutes and this is all I could do? Sheesh

 I was working with an oil pencil and it hampered my progress.  Really did me no favors when it came to blending the shaded areas.  Still, even with the lack of progress to show, I'm happy enough with the drawing aspect of the, uh, drawing.

Two tone sketch

 Our model had a little trouble holding a standing pose for 25 minutes.  I usually don't ask the model to stand for more than 10 minutes but we tried this.  Thanks, Lady S, for being a good sport.

Gestures of Lady S from 2/6

We had a small group so we changed it up.  Only 5 one minute gesture poses started the evening off.  This  is what that looks like.  Others may not be so abstract.

Better than it had any right to be

 That's what I feel about this one.  I really thought that this pose would be a total failure and, much to my surprise, it came together.

Sittin' purty

 I had to fight to get this pose.  Kept getting back shots.

Shapes and shadows

 May finish this one.  Not a lot left, just working out the hair and maybe the left foot.

Favorite of the evening

 I'm really happy with where this is going.  There is a subtlety and nuance that makes me smile.  Pretty pleased, if I do say so.

The long pose

 Not my favorite sketch of the evening.  Her left arm really presented some problems for me and 35 minutes just wasn't enough time to get it right in relation to the rest of the piece.

 My favorite drawing of the evening.  This started out as just a study of her arm and ended up becoming a drawing in progress.

Tilted

 I was really starting to enjoy this drawing.  The tilt of her head, and that tension in her left arm.  All of the shapes and shadows making some compelling forms.

First head study of 2025

 This was coming into its own, although there are some fixes that I'd like to implement, as usual.

The first long sketch of 2025

 There are only a few aspects of this that I'm happy with.  Her face just didn't work out for me even though there is a lot to work with.

 Second drawing of the new year.   Pretty happy with it, as much as one can be happy with a 10 minute sketch.
