Subtle twist

Subtle rendering of the musculature.  This was about 15 minutes of work and I still couldn't make it to the head and face.  Really enjoyed the twist and capturing that aspect of this pose.

Shadows and shapes

I think I just fell into a groove.  Nothing overly impressive, just kinda average.

10 minutes to start the night...

...and it didn't get any better as the night went on.

Gestures with Samm

Samm took some wonderful, inspired gestures last night.  Very relaxed and natural.

Standing around for 45 minutes

This turned out fairly well.  So much to focus on and also so much to ignore, or it would become an exercise in over-rendering.  Great way to end the first session of 2026.

Laying down on the job

'bout 15 minutes worth of effort.  There was so much detail to deal with that I barely got away from her head and neck area, especially the clavicle and neck muscles.  It may not look like it, but I spent an inordinate amount of time on that area, with little to show.

Kneeling

I'm having difficulty with the lanky nature of Jenifer's figure.  It's hard to keep from adding a bit of mass to her.  A challenge (for me) until I become used to her.

Strike a pose

Loved that shadow and the static gesture.  Beautiful pose.

2026 with Jenifer

Some gestures (natch) and a complicated 5 minute pose that would have been fantastic to finish.  Some things never change.

Long pose

This one kinda got away from me.  I had a really nice head and face about midway through the pose.  Then I realized I had the proportion of head to body wrong.  I needed a larger head so I erased the best part of the drawing and reworked her noggin.  It's okay, but it ain't as nice as the one no one gets to see.  Jenifer definitely presents some interesting problems to solve.

Happy New Year!

Some stuff from 2025.  I hope it only gets better in 2026.
