I really like the old school feel of this.  I'm sure I had a blast rendering the model's face.

I was actually happy just leaving this one in an unfinished state.

I like the solid feel of her weight against the giving nature of the pillows.  These are some of the more enjoyable poses to draw, for me at least.

Revisiting some old stuff

I really love the layers of shapes and how they inform the mass.  I should finish the face and see where this goes.

From a few weeks ago

This summer may prove a bit difficult in finding models.  This may mean I will be digging out my (heh) "Greatest Hits" intermixed with some of the stuff that hasn't been posted.  We'll see how it all shakes out.

Gestures of Miss D

Miss D gave us her last session for awhile.  Summer is taking its toll on our model stable.

A Fechin pose

I asked the model if she could replicate a pose I found in one of my Nicolai Fechin books.  She nailed it and I had a blast doing this one.

Weight

This sketch conveys a nice sense of mass and weight.  I didn't even try to rush this to finish, I was having too much fun working my way around the figure.

Her knee

Apparently I was in no hurry last week.

A quick ten

This didn't even remotely come together until the last 30 seconds or so.  I'm always amazed at how a few lines can bring a drawing around.  This is not, by any means, a finished drawing but it was looking like a trainwreck for most of the pose.
