Paige revisited

One of my favorite models from the past.  I'll post a few of my favorites until I do something new.

A Paige from the past

Another favorite model of ours.  She has since moved on and we miss having her in our little group.

Donation

My contribution to "The Classic" here in Big Sky Country.  Gonna miss this one.

Stretch

I really like where this sketch ended up.  Very unfinished yet very expressive.

What was I thinking?!

We may never know but Paige sure looked comfortable pondering.

Partial Paige

More from the archive.  Love the pinky finger.  Not even sorry that the drawing ain't finished.

Sketch to finish

The drawing from the session and the finish from my studio.  I tried not to change too much about the sketch as I finished just to see what I did wrong.  The portrait was probably my best start and finish.

Turns away

I must've been comfortable the night I drew this.  Seems fairly finished.

Paige

Takin' a break

More of the older stuff.  This will be the norm into July.

Chillin'

Odd little tangent with the right hand and the edge of the model's side.  Still, a nice pose.

Cradle

Simple vignette.

Twist

I love these poses with the twist of the shoulders and the thrust of the hip being the points of reference.  A fun challenge, for sure.

All curled up

These kind of poses are problematic for me.  If I had gotten far enough along to include the legs I may have been happier.  I, however, got caught up in the face and changing it until it sat correctly behind her shoulder.

Heavy handed

No elegance to the style I employed here.  Not sure why but this just came out flat.

Welcome home, Paige

Here are the gestures from one of our favorite models, Paige.  She gave us some good poses last night and it was good to have her back.

Return to Paige

I've really missed drawing Paige.  However, she has quite a lot on her plate and so I can only go back and pull unused images to post when I have a lull.

Oh yeah

This may not be a great portrait of Paige but I really am proud of the drawing.  The technique really intrigues me and I hope to replicate it more as the weeks progress.

Just a start

This has the makings of a good drawing and the one I intend to finish from this session.  Particularly happy with the start of her face.
