Long pose

 This is nowhere near finished but I had so much fun playing with all of the elements in this.  The time blew by and I was left making some hasty decisions as the clock wound down.  So many individual points of interest that took me away from being able to pull this together as a whole.  And yet, I like what is there.  Perhaps it is solely because it was my journey and I can still see where this was going.  A casual viewer may only see this as a mess.  Regardless, I had fun...

Lady S emeges

 From a smear of charcoal the figure of Lady S appears.  I'm really enjoying this style of life drawing.  Some really interesting interpretations of familiar shapes result from this technique.

Lady S or Lady X?

 Until I took a look at this image in a small format did I see the prominent X that she formed.  I got so lost in the silky smooth shadows she was casting that I didn't give much thought to her actual pose.  Fun.

 9 artists last night.  S did a great job and these are the gestures to prove it.

Finally

 An almost complete drawing.  This one really was the culmination of having 3 1/2 hours with the same model over a couple of sessions to get a handle on her unique aspects.  I paid particular attention to the areas where her arms and and armpits connect.  It may not look that interesting in the drawing but it was interesting to draw.  And I got a pretty decent likeness in this sketch.  A bit longer and I may even have done justice to her hand.

Stretch

 El was propped up in a chair with pillows creating a kind of ramp, which gave me a weird perspective view.  Wish I had given her head a bit more time but I kind of knocked it in after the pose broke, trying to make corrections from memory.  Not the best idea with an angle like this.  Still, it was a lot of fun to draw.

 Smear.  Erase. Draw, draw, draw.  Fun little technique.

 I had a pretty good night all around.  Was having fun with the tonality of some of these drawings.

Gestures of Miss E

 A pretty good night of drawing last night.  Here are the gestures.  The sketches got better as the evening went on.

Only decent drawing from the session

 I gave myself enough information to actually finish this if I choose.  Might be fun to play around with this one at some point.

Simply incomplete

 An incomplete study.  I picked nothing to focus on and so this looks very basic.

Belly and legs

 Seated and incomplete.  Just trying to get the feel of the mass of the legs and the relationship to the trunk of the body.

Just a start

 I tried to capture her face but just ran outta time.  I like the left eye and her mouth in this sketch.  Other than that it's just a practice drawing, like so many.

Gestures of Miss E

 Miss E took a couple of really wonderful gesture poses that just made me wish I could stop time and just really capture them.  Alas, if I could stop time I wouldn't be trying to keep my face from sliding off of my skull.  I'd be living at about 30 for a bit longer.  Gettin' old sucks.

Propped up on...nothing?

 I really  should have indicated the box she was leaning on.  I guess I got caught up on the left side of her ribcage.

Light and Shadow

 I think I got a bit carried away with the right shoulder's shadow.  And yet it's my favorite part of the drawing.

The Mummy... a sketch

Was watching an awful TV movie from 1977 "Curse of the Black Widow" with my lovely  wife and decided to do a little study of a classic movie monster.  However, I don't recommend working in semi darkness with a small image on your smartphone while trying to keep up with a storyline.  Well, at least I'm not ashamed of this effort.

Sway

 Should have adjusted the lighting to get more definition.  Too washed out.
