Let's just go in order


This is the next one from last Thursday. I liked the simple shapes although with such a willowy model there is far more detail to deal with and simplicity is fairly hard to come by.

Taming the charcoal

At this point I decided to be master of my drawing and not get drug along by the charcoal. Sometimes I just let things drift along and see what comes of such laziness. Glad I didn't with this session since there are a couple I am pretty pleased with.

A bit angular

I was breaking in new charcoal on the first couple of sketches and it seems I allowed the medium to dictate the terms of the drawing. Sometimes that can be a fun exercise. Not sure how I feel about this, though.

Lost

Edges, that is. Potential for a nice finished piece. I am happy with the strong contrast of the figure against the drapery and, of course, the lost edges.
