Let's just go in order

This is the next one from last Thursday. I liked the simple shapes although with such a willowy model there is far more detail to deal with and simplicity is fairly hard to come by.

Taming the charcoal

At this point I decided to be master of my drawing and not get drug along by the charcoal. Sometimes I just let things drift along and see what comes of such laziness. Glad I didn't with this session since there are a couple I am pretty pleased with.

A bit angular

I was breaking in new charcoal on the first couple of sketches and it seems I allowed the medium to dictate the terms of the drawing. Sometimes that can be a fun exercise. Not sure how I feel about this, though.

The gestures of good faith

Okay, I owe Amber for making the adjustments to her schedule. The Grizzly will be ready the next time you model.

Unfinished

Again with the unfinished face. Sheesh, I really have to prioritize when I draw.

Lost

Edges, that is. Potential for a nice finished piece. I am happy with the strong contrast of the figure against the drapery and, of course, the lost edges.

Last of Amber

Until later this week. Not my favorite drawing although it may serve as a prep sketch for a nicer drawing.
