One of my favorite techniques is the use of lost edges. Many call this vignette but I always felt that meant a kind of "Vaseline on the lens" look of fuzzy edges to the background. I like the use of the paper as part of the drawing, not just what the drawing resides on. Even when I paint (which is nowhere near enough) I like to leave raw canvas or the gesso showing through.
I've been interested in art all of my life and pretty much can't do much else. My wife and I owned Gallery Interiors, a fine art gallery and high end furniture store here in the wild west.
